S-3553LC20D is a kit of two 1.25G single-mode SFP modules for optical connections of up to 20 kilometers, designed for long-distance links between buildings, campuses, or geographically separated locations where multimode fiber cannot cover the required distance. It is widely used in ISP infrastructures, metropolitan networks, and connections between distant fixed points where Gigabit connectivity over single-mode fiber is the primary requirement.

The kit includes two complementary transceivers with different wavelengths — T1310nm/R1550nm and T1550nm/R1310nm — which operate as a pair over a single strand of single-mode fiber, reducing optical infrastructure costs by eliminating the need for two separate fiber runs. Both modules support DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) for real-time monitoring of optical power and temperature directly from the management interface, simplifying diagnostics for long-distance links. The -40°C to +70°C operating range ensures reliability in both outdoor and indoor installations.

S-3553LC20D is tested and compatible with a wide range of MikroTik equipment featuring SFP 1G slots, including the RB260GS, RB2011 series, and CCR1036-12G-4S, as well as SFP devices from other manufacturers.
