MikroTik CCR1036-12G-4S-EM is an industrial-grade router for ISP networks and enterprise infrastructure, featuring a 36-core Tilera CPU at 1.2 GHz, twelve Gigabit Ethernet ports, four SFP ports and 8 GB RAM, built for infrastructures where up to 16 Gbps throughput and 24 million packets per second fastpath processing are real operational requirements. Unlike SFP+ variants, this model prioritizes Gigabit port density and 1G SFP connectivity, making it well suited for ISP networks with multiple aggregation points and traffic distributed across many individual links.

Twelve Gigabit Ethernet ports provide dense connectivity for network equipment while four SFP ports with DDM support enable fiber uplinks of up to 1 Gbps per port to the upstream infrastructure layer. The 36-core Tilera architecture distributes traffic processing uniformly across independent cores without bottlenecks under sustained maximum load. Eight GB RAM, an onboard M.2 slot and full-size USB port cover storage requirements for extended logging and operational data. Dual redundant power supplies ensure continuous availability without planned maintenance windows in production environments.

CCR1036-12G-4S-EM runs RouterOS level 6 with full support for BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN and advanced traffic engineering policies at ISP scale. Management via Winbox, SSH and web interface combined with CPU and PCB temperature monitoring, voltage tracking and audible alerts provides complete operational visibility. A lower 60 W power draw compared to SFP+ variants offers an additional efficiency advantage in high-density equipment environments.
