CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM is a datacenter and enterprise network switch in a 1U rackmount form factor, featuring 28 independent ports for fiber optic connectivity and 10G uplinks. It is widely deployed as an aggregation or distribution switch in high-density business networks where SFP-based connectivity and power supply redundancy are critical infrastructure requirements.

The switch provides 20 SFP ports, 4 SFP+ ports for 10G modules, and 4 combo ports individually configurable as SFP or RJ45 via software — including RouterOS scripting for dynamic active port selection. A dual-core processor at 800MHz with 512MB RAM delivers sufficient processing capacity for advanced switching at high port density. Two 100-240V power supplies with automatic failover eliminate downtime risk from single power supply failure.

CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM supports dual boot between RouterOS License L5 and SwitchOS, providing flexibility in management platform selection depending on infrastructure complexity — RouterOS for advanced routing and firewall capabilities, SwitchOS for simplified switching-focused management. The RJ45 console port and configurable mode button facilitate local administration and operational automation through custom RouterOS commands. An MTBF of 200,000 hours confirms reliability for permanent datacenter installations.
