MikroTik netPower Lite 7R – Compact Outdoor PoE Switch for SMB & Industrial Networks
MikroTik netPower Lite 7R is an outdoor switch with 7 reverse PoE ports, one Gigabit port with PoE-out, and two 10G SFP+ ports, designed as a cost-effective alternative to GPON base stations for ISPs delivering internet to individual apartments. It is part of the GPEN concept — bringing the speed and versatility of fiber networking through Ethernet infrastructure, without the cost of passive optical equipment and GPON splitters.
The 7 reverse PoE ports eliminate the need for a separate power supply in attics, utility rooms, or electrical cabinets — the switch draws power directly from connected clients, operating from as little as a single client connection. Ethernet port 8 with PoE-out powers additional equipment at the same voltage applied to the unit. Non-blocking throughput of 28 Gbps and switching capacity of 56 Gbps comfortably exceed the bandwidth requirements of dense residential distribution. Two 10G SFP+ ports provide fast uplink to the aggregation node via fiber or DAC cable.
netPower Lite 7R accepts power through three independent methods — DC jack, passive PoE, and 2-pin terminal (12–57V) — covering any installation scenario without additional adapters. It installs in challenging outdoor environments through its IP54-rated enclosure with hose clamp pole mounting support — damp attics, elevator shafts, poles, and technical enclosures. Management is handled through SwitchOS Lite, a streamlined interface focused exclusively on switching functions.
Recommended for ISPs distributing internet in residential buildings without existing GPON infrastructure, installations in technical spaces without available power supply, last-mile Ethernet access networks with 10G uplinks, and any scenario where per-subscriber deployment cost must be minimized without sacrificing connection speed or reliability. The power supply is not included and must be purchased separately.
