MikroTik CCR1016-12S-1S+ is an industrial-grade router for ISP networks and enterprise infrastructures built around optical connectivity, featuring a 16-core Tilera CPU at 1.2 GHz, twelve SFP ports, one 10 Gbps SFP+ port and 2 GB RAM, designed for environments where optical port density and multi-core traffic processing are fundamental requirements. Commonly deployed as an optical aggregation router in small and medium ISP networks or as a distribution router in enterprise infrastructures with predominantly SFP-based connectivity.

Twelve SFP ports with DDM support enable simultaneous fiber or copper module connections, while the SFP+ port provides a 10 Gbps uplink to the network core. The included RJ45 copper SFP module adds immediate flexibility for connecting one device via cable without a separate purchase. The 16-core Tilera architecture ensures distributed traffic processing without bottlenecks under sustained load, while dual redundant power supplies and a touchscreen LCD complete the platform for high-availability production environments.

CCR1016-12S-1S+ runs RouterOS level 6 with full support for BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN and advanced traffic engineering policies. Management via Winbox, SSH and web interface combined with CPU and PCB temperature monitoring, a microSD slot for additional storage and audible alerts provides complete operational visibility and control. A 34 W draw under normal operation is a meaningful efficiency advantage in high-density rackmount environments.
