MikroTik S-4554LC80D – Pair of SFP BiDi Modules for 80 km Fiber Links

MikroTik S-4554LC80D is a pair of 1.25G SFP modules for single-mode fiber connections over distances up to 80 km, designed for backhaul links and site-to-site interconnects where a single optical fiber must carry bidirectional traffic on separate wavelengths. The pair includes complementary modules S-45LC80D and S-54LC80D at 1490/1550 nm wavelengths — each module transmits on one wavelength and receives on the other, eliminating the need for two separate fiber strands.

Bidirectional WDM technology over a single fiber strand cuts physical infrastructure requirements in half over long distances, directly reducing fiber installation and leasing costs. At 1.25 Gbps per module, the pair covers backhaul bandwidth requirements for ISP distribution networks, inter-building connections, or network nodes at distances up to 80 km. Integrated DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) enables real-time optical parameter tracking — transmit power, receive power, and temperature — directly from RouterOS or SwOS. The industrial-grade tested temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ensures stable operation in outdoor installations, unheated technical enclosures, and environments with extreme thermal variation.

S-4554LC80D is compatible with all MikroTik equipment featuring SFP or SFP+ ports, including CRS switches, CCR routers, and any platform with an available SFP cage.
