MikroTik CAOTS – Outdoor Case for Network Equipment Protection

MikroTik CAOTS is a compact plastic outdoor enclosure for protecting RouterBOARD equipment in exterior installations, compatible with the RB411, RB911, RB912 and RB922 series, designed for outdoor mounting where protection against weather, moisture and temperature variation is essential for network continuity. Compared to the larger CAOTU variant, CAOTS is optimized for the more compact boards in the RB911 and RB912 series, widely used in outdoor point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless installations.

The enclosure includes an integrated Ethernet insulator that protects the equipment and network infrastructure against voltage surges and electrical discharges transmitted through the network cable — a critical requirement for outdoor installations connected via long Ethernet runs exposed to atmospheric discharge. The included mounting set enables secure attachment to masts, walls or antenna brackets without additional purchases. The white plastic reduces solar heat absorption and provides adequate mechanical protection in outdoor conditions.

CAOTS is compatible with the RB411, RB911, RB912 and RB922 series, covering a wide range of RouterBOARD configurations frequently used in outdoor wireless links and ISP installations. The compact enclosure dimensions make it well suited for mast and tower installations where reduced weight and profile are operational advantages. The design maintains access to the installed board's ports for maintenance interventions without full disassembly.
