MikroTik RB411AR RouterBOARD 2.4GHz for SMB Wireless Deployments

MikroTik RB411AR is a RouterBOARD with an integrated 802.11b/g radio on 2.4 GHz and an additional miniPCI slot, designed for outdoor deployments where two simultaneous wireless interfaces deliver real operational value — a wireless client connection on one radio and a local access point on the other, within a single compact unit. The MMCX connector on the integrated radio allows pairing with external antennas for optimized coverage or range.

The combination of the integrated 802.11b/g radio and a free miniPCI slot enables straightforward practical scenarios: connecting to a remote AP on the built-in radio while serving local clients through the miniPCI card, or a dual-band setup with a 5 GHz card in the additional slot. The AR7161 processor at 300 MHz with 64 MB RAM handles routing between interfaces without additional hardware. The identical footprint to the RB411 series allows installation in any compatible outdoor enclosure without modifications.

RB411AR runs RouterOS L4 with support for routing, bridging, firewall, hotspot, VPN, and bandwidth management. Passive PoE input (10–28 V) or DC jack simplifies installation at locations without mains power, while the RS232 serial console port enables out-of-band access at remote sites without active management connectivity.

Recommended for outdoor CPE with local re-distribution — client to an ISP access point and AP for local area users, wireless repeater installations in areas without coverage, deployments in RB411-compatible outdoor enclosures where upgrading from another model in the series takes minutes, and scenarios where the integrated radio eliminates the cost of an additional miniPCI card.
