The MikroTik R11e-5HacD is a 5 GHz miniPCI-e wireless card with 802.11ac support, designed for outdoor deployments and RouterBOARD devices requiring an upgrade to Wi-Fi 5. Compatible with RB953, RB912, RB922, RB800, and x86 devices running RouterOS, the card brings dual-chain AC connectivity in a compact form factor suited for both outdoor links and high-throughput indoor applications.

The Qualcomm QCA9882 chipset and 802.11ac standard deliver data rates up to 867 Mbps across two chains — nearly three times the throughput of Wireless N — at a power draw of just 4W. Dual MMCX connectors support external directional or omnidirectional antennas to match the specific coverage requirements of each installation. The built-in LED indicators display wireless mode, connection status, TX/RX activity, and signal strength directly on the card, simplifying antenna alignment in the field without additional diagnostic tools.

The card installs directly into the miniPCI-e slot of compatible devices, upgrading an existing RouterBOARD to an AC wireless platform without replacing the host hardware. The tested operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C confirms stable performance in extreme climatic conditions typical of long-term outdoor installations.
