MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna – LoRa Antenna for SMB & Industrial Networks

The MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna is a 6.5 dBi omnidirectional antenna kit for LoRa® networks operating in the 862-876 MHz band, designed for outdoor IoT deployments where extended coverage, increased durability, and resistance to marine and coastal conditions are essential requirements. It is widely used to extend the coverage of LoRa® gateways in agricultural projects, coastal monitoring, smart city applications, and distributed IoT infrastructures across regions operating on the 868 MHz frequency — Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The redesign compared to the previous version delivers a smaller form factor, significantly improved durability, and IP66 protection without sacrificing performance.

The antenna operates in the 862-876 MHz band with a 6.5 dBi gain and comes with an SMA female connector, a reinforced 1-meter SMA male-to-male cable, and a mechanical holder for quick attachment to a 25-50 mm mast or wall mounting. IP66 protection ensures resistance to powerful water jets from any direction, making the kit suitable for marine installations, ports, coastal environments, and outdoor deployments with heavy precipitation and high humidity exposure. The 1-meter cable allows flexible antenna positioning relative to the gateway for optimized mounting direction and height.

The 868 Omni Antenna connects directly to MikroTik LoRa® gateways with 868 MHz band support via the standard SMA interface — including the KNOT LR8 kit, wAP LR8, and other compatible LoRa® devices. No software configuration is required; integration is achieved by physically replacing or supplementing the existing antenna. The included mechanical holder enables quick mounting on standard-diameter masts without specialized tools.

It is recommended for extending LoRa® coverage in marine and coastal projects where IP66 is the minimum protection requirement, farms and agricultural installations across Europe where 868 MHz is the standard LoRa® frequency, IoT sensor networks in urban or industrial areas with physical obstacles requiring additional antenna gain, and any scenario where the gateway's built-in antenna does not provide the required range or reliability in demanding environmental conditions. IP66 protection and the reinforced cable make it the standard choice for permanent outdoor deployments across EMEA regions.
