MikroTik cAP ac – Dual-Band 2.4 / 5GHz Wireless Access Point for SMB Networks
MikroTik cAP ac is a dual-band wireless access point for offices, hotels and commercial spaces, featuring 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n and 5 GHz 802.11ac radios, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and hardware IPsec acceleration, designed for ceiling or wall mounting where 360-degree wireless coverage and visual integration matter as much as performance. Well suited for business networks requiring simultaneous dual-band coverage and wired connectivity at the same installation point.
The quad-core ARM CPU with hardware IPsec acceleration delivers high throughput for encrypted VPN traffic without impacting wireless performance — valuable in business networks with security requirements. The first Gigabit port with 802.3af/at PoE input powers the device, while the second Gigabit port with Passive PoE output enables powering an additional device — IP camera or VoIP phone — directly from the same installation point without separate cabling. Full 360-degree coverage and available round and square enclosures provide flexible visual integration on any ceiling or wall type.
cAP ac integrates natively with MikroTik's CAPsMAN system for centralized management of all access points across a network, eliminating per-device configuration in multi-AP deployments. It also supports repeater mode for coverage extension without additional cable infrastructure where wiring is not available. Full management is available via Winbox, SSH and web interface with complete RouterOS level 4 feature access.
Recommended for offices building dual-band wireless infrastructures with centralized CAPsMAN management, for hotels and hospitality environments where uniform dual-band coverage and ceiling-mounted integration are priorities, for deployments where PoE powering of a secondary device from the same AP eliminates additional cabling runs, and for networks with VPN requirements where hardware IPsec acceleration reduces CPU processing overhead.
