MikroTik hEX PoE – Gigabit Ethernet Router with PoE for SOHO / SMB Networks

The MikroTik hEX PoE is a five-port Gigabit Ethernet router with PoE output on four ports and an SFP port for fiber connectivity, built for small and medium offices where wired connectivity, PoE device powering, and fiber uplink are required in a single compact unit. The QCA9557 CPU at 800 MHz and 128 MB RAM support all advanced RouterOS Level 4 functionality — routing, firewall, VPN, QoS, and remote management — without performance compromises for a typical office network.

Gigabit Ethernet ports 2-5 deliver passive or active 802.3af/at PoE output — powering access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, or other PoE devices directly without injectors or separate power adapters. At 48-57V input voltage, the ports also support af/at mode B compatible devices, extending compatibility with standard PoE equipment. The SFP port adds fiber optic connectivity for long-distance uplinks or integration into existing optical infrastructure — relevant for offices connected via fiber to a central switch. The USB type A port with power reset supports connecting a 3G/4G modem or external storage managed through RouterOS.

Five shielded Gigabit ports and idle power consumption of just 6W without attached devices maintain high energy efficiency. Dual power input — DC jack at 12-57V and passive PoE in — provides flexibility for installations with different power sources. The tested operating range of -40°C to +60°C confirms stable performance in varied technical environments. A 24V 2.5A power adapter is included in the package.
