MikroTik SXT R – Outdoor Directional Access Point for SMB & Industrial Networks
MikroTik SXT R is an outdoor LTE antenna with a 10.5 dBi gain and 60° coverage angle, without an integrated modem, designed for internet connectivity in locations where cellular signal is insufficient for standard devices. Unlike kit versions with an included modem, the SXT R ships with an open miniPCI-e slot — allowing installation of the preferred or locally required LTE module.
The 10.5 dBi antenna with a 60° beam focuses signal toward the cell tower, delivering stable connectivity even where mobile phones cannot obtain a usable signal. Ethernet port 2 with passive PoE-out up to 57V powers an additional device — WiFi access point, IP camera, or other equipment — without a separate power supply. The two Micro SIM slots are functional only with an LTE modem installed, providing operator redundancy capability once the miniPCI-e slot is equipped.
SXT R mounts on a pole or exterior structure and connects to the internal network through two Fast Ethernet ports. PoE 802.3af/at input eliminates additional cabling at height. The tested operating range of -40°C to +60°C ensures continuous operation across all climates for permanent outdoor installations. This platform is the right choice when a specific module is required for local network compatibility or when a module is already available.
Recommended for buildings and homes in areas with weak LTE signal, installations where LTE module selection is dictated by locally available network coverage, scenarios where PoE-out for an additional device is a requirement, and any deployment where a 10.5 dBi antenna with an open slot is preferred over a complete kit with an included modem.
