MikroTik LtAP LR8 LTE kit Wi-Fi Router – Stable Connectivity for SMB
The MikroTik LtAP LR8 LTE kit is a ruggedized all-in-one mobile gateway combining LTE connectivity, GPS tracking, and LoRa® IoT data collection in a single IP54-rated enclosure. Built for field deployments where fixed infrastructure does not exist, it serves vehicles, agricultural operations, logistics fleets, and smart city applications that require simultaneous wireless, cellular, and sensor network capabilities. It is commonly deployed as a mobile LoRa® gateway, a vehicle-mounted LTE router, and an IoT concentrator for low-power sensor networks in remote or mobile environments.
The hardware platform is built around the dual-core MT7621A processor with 128MB RAM, a Cat4 LTE modem delivering up to 150 Mbps download, and a dedicated miniPCIe LoRa® concentrator card — all integrated in one unit. Three MiniSIM slots enable automatic operator switching, critical for cross-border routes or areas with inconsistent coverage. The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access point handles local wireless connectivity, the built-in GPS module supports external antenna via U.FL, and a tested operating range of -40°C to 50°C ensures reliable performance in demanding outdoor conditions.
Running RouterOS License 4, the LtAP LR8 LTE kit integrates natively with The Things Network — the open-source LoRa® infrastructure with an extensive ecosystem of ready-made IoT applications. Three power inputs — DC jack, passive PoE, and automotive 12–27V — allow installation directly in vehicles without additional adapters, or operation from a high-capacity power bank for temporary deployments. A Gigabit Ethernet port, USB type A, and RS232 serial console provide the connectivity needed for custom integrations and adjacent equipment.
The LtAP LR8 LTE kit is the right choice for vehicle fleets collecting LoRa® sensor data on the move and pushing it to the cloud over LTE, for agricultural operations monitoring irrigation, livestock, and storage through a single mobile gateway, for logistics companies combining real-time GPS tracking with wireless telemetry, for smart city deployments covering parking, utilities, and environmental sensing, and for any mobile implementation where LTE, GPS, and LoRa® must operate simultaneously from a compact, field-ready device.
