The MikroTik LDF 5 ac is an outdoor 802.11ac wireless system for the 5 GHz band designed to mount in the offset bracket of any locally available satellite dish — the dish acts as a reflector and amplifies the signal, turning a second-hand TV antenna into a high-performance long-distance wireless link. The ultra-compact 84x84x115mm form factor and universal 40mm diameter offset mount simplify shipping, installation, and cost compared to traditional solutions with dedicated grid or parabolic antennas.

The quad-core IPQ-4018 processor at 716 MHz and 256 MB RAM support the dual-chain 802.11ac transmitter delivering data rates up to 867 Mbps, with the Gigabit Ethernet port eliminating wired-side bottlenecks and enabling full utilization of AC speeds. Effective link gain depends on the size of the satellite dish used — any standard offset dish with a 40mm mount is compatible, providing gain proportional to the reflector diameter without additional dedicated hardware costs.

IP54 protection and a tested operating range of -40°C to +70°C confirm continuous operation in extreme climatic conditions without frequent maintenance. The factory-activated RouterOS Level 3 license includes routing, bridging, and remote management configurations. The included package — Gigabit PoE injector and 24V power adapter — covers complete power delivery, while the satellite dish can be sourced locally at minimal cost, significantly reducing shipping expenses compared to equivalent-gain dedicated antennas.
