MikroTik R5SHPn – High-Power 5 GHz Wireless Network Card for Industrial Use

MikroTik R5SHPn is a high-power 5 GHz single-chain miniPCI wireless card designed for long-range access points and backbone links where the transmit power of standard wireless cards is insufficient. With built-in LED indicators for signal strength, TX/RX activity, and connection status directly on the card, it simplifies antenna installation and alignment in the field without requiring access to management interfaces.

The card delivers transmit power above standard 5 GHz wireless cards, sustained by a pre-installed industrial-grade heatsink that handles thermal dissipation under continuous maximum load operation. Nine LED indicators visible directly on the card — wireless mode, connection status, TX/RX activity, and signal strength — eliminate the need to access the management interface during physical antenna alignment. The MMCX connector enables direct coupling with compatible external antennas.

R5SHPn installs into the miniPCI slot of compatible MikroTik equipment, adding 5 GHz 802.11a/n (Wi-Fi 4) wireless connectivity at speeds up to 150 Mbps. It is suited for RouterBOARD platforms with an available miniPCI slot where high transmit power is a requirement for extended coverage or long-distance point-to-point links.

Recommended for outdoor access points with extended 5 GHz range requirements, last-mile backbone links where transmit power is the limiting factor, upgrading existing RouterBOARD platforms with a high-power wireless card, and any scenario where on-card LED alignment indicators significantly reduce field installation time.
