The MikroTik Cube 60Pro ac is a 60 GHz 802.11ay point-to-point CPE designed for ultra-fast wireless connections between two locations over distances of up to 2.4 km without cable infrastructure. It is widely used for bridging adjacent office or industrial buildings, connecting locations separated by roads or physical obstacles where cable installation is impractical or cost-prohibitive, and as an alternative to field-deployed fiber optic runs for temporary or permanent connections. The robust metal enclosure with IP66 protection and compact form factor make it suitable for discreet outdoor mounting on walls, poles, and rooftops.

The device operates in the 60 GHz band using the 802.11ay standard with Channel 5 support for extended distances — tested and confirmed at 2.4 km under optimal conditions. The hardware platform includes a quad-core ARM IPQ-4019 running at up to 896 MHz with 256 MB RAM and 64 MB FLASH storage, managed via RouterOS (License Level 4). The 5 GHz Wi-Fi 5 (802.11a/n/ac) backup radio with an 11.5 dBi directional antenna activates automatically as a failover when the 60 GHz link is affected by adverse weather conditions — maintaining connection continuity without manual intervention. The integrated GPS enables time synchronization and geolocation in distributed deployments.

The Cube 60Pro ac is available individually for integration into custom configurations or as part of the preconfigured Wireless Wire Cube Pro kit — two ready-to-use units that automatically form an encrypted 60 GHz link upon power-up in pure plug-and-play fashion. PoE 802.3af/at (18-48V) powering via the Gigabit Ethernet port simplifies installation without requiring a separate power source at the mounting location. The metal enclosure base provides superior mounting and cooling options compared to previous generations.
