MikroTik CRS310-8G+2S+IN Switch – High-Performance SMB Network Switch
The MikroTik CRS310-8G+2S+IN is a managed switch with 8 x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 x 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports, designed for office networks and SMB infrastructures transitioning from standard Gigabit to higher-speed connectivity. It is widely used as an access or aggregation switch in small and medium offices, creative studios, virtualization environments, and networks where NAS devices, workstations, and Wi-Fi 6/6E access points require more bandwidth than classic Gigabit provides. The combination of 2.5G ports and 10G SFP+ uplinks offers complete flexibility for progressive infrastructure upgrades.
The switch is built on the Marvell 98DX226S chip with a dual-core ARM processor at 800 MHz and 256 MB RAM, capable of running the full RouterOS v7 feature set (License Level 5) — including VLANs, Jumbo frames, link aggregation, ACL rules, and hardware-offloaded Layer-3 routing. Both SFP+ ports support multiple data rates — 1G, 2.5G, and 10G — allowing the unit to function as a 10-port 2.5G switch when using appropriate SFP+ modules. Dual boot between RouterOS v7 and SwitchOS provides management flexibility depending on deployment complexity.
The CRS310-8G+2S+IN mounts in a standard 19" rack using the included rackmount ears, or in a 10" rack and dual 1U configurations via the optional RMK-2/10 accessory set. The USB Type-A port with USB Power Reset functionality simplifies remote system recovery, while CPU and PCB temperature monitoring provides operational visibility in production environments. DC jack powering with a wide 18-57 V input range ensures compatibility with diverse power sources in existing infrastructures.
It is recommended for offices migrating from Gigabit to 2.5G, networks with NAS devices or file servers requiring high internal throughput, infrastructures with Wi-Fi 6/6E access points with 2.5G uplinks, video editing and distributed rendering environments where internal bandwidth is critical, and aggregation scenarios where the 10G SFP+ ports serve as uplinks to the network core or internet. An operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C and CE certifications confirm suitability for both office and technical room deployments.
