MikroTik TG-LR92 – Industrial LoRaWAN Sensor for IoT Monitoring and Telemetry

The MikroTik TG-LR92 is a configurable LoRaWAN sensor tag designed for long-term IoT monitoring in demanding environments. It is widely used in logistics, cold-chain management, storage facilities, and environmental monitoring deployments where long-range connectivity and extended battery life are critical operational requirements. An integrated magnetic reed switch enables door, lid, and cabinet state monitoring. The device performs onboard data processing — generating averages and histograms before transmission — reducing network traffic while retaining full environmental insight. A 1100 mAh LiMnO₂ battery delivers an estimated ~5-year lifetime depending on configuration, and the IP67-rated enclosure ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions.

The sensor operates on both 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz LoRa bands. The 2.4 GHz option removes regional frequency restrictions, making it suitable for global deployments including container shipping and international asset tracking. TG-LR92 integrates natively with MikroTik LR9 LoRaWAN gateways (KNOT LR9G, wAP LR9G, wAP LR2) and supports configuration via LoRaWAN downlinks or platforms such as The Things Network. Telemetry data can be visualized in real time using Grafana, deployable via RouterOS container support.
