MikroTik OmniTIK 5 PoE – Outdoor Wireless Access Point 5 GHz for SMB and Industrial Networks

The MikroTik OmniTIK 5 PoE is an outdoor omnidirectional access point for the 5 GHz band with dual-chain Wireless N, built for pole-mounted CPE distribution where 360° coverage and powering nearby equipment are the primary requirements. Widely deployed by ISPs as a central hub for client networks using SXT or other 802.11a/n devices, it combines two integrated 7.5 dBi omni antennas, five Ethernet ports with passive PoE output, and Nv2 TDMA support in an IP54-rated weatherproof enclosure.

The 1000mW dual-chain 802.11a/n transmitter and Nv2 TDMA protocol deliver up to 200 Mbps aggregate throughput in point-to-multipoint networks with lower latency than standard protocols — a direct advantage for ISPs serving many simultaneous clients from a single access point. Ethernet ports 2-5 provide passive PoE output at the same voltage applied to the input — up to 1A per port and 2A total — powering CPE devices or IP cameras directly without individual injectors. The USB type A port with power reset supports connecting a 3G modem or external storage drive directly managed through RouterOS.

The LED signal indicators on the rear panel are fully configurable through RouterOS — displaying Ethernet activity, wireless signal strength, or any other relevant information for field installation and monitoring. The IP54-rated enclosure and included pole mounting bracket allow rapid deployment in exposed outdoor locations. Passive cooling and a tested operating range of -40°C to +70°C confirm continuous operation in extreme climatic conditions.
