MikroTik RB450Gx4 RouterBOARD Platform for SMB, ISP & Industrial Networks
RB450Gx4 is a business Ethernet router with five Gigabit ports, built for network infrastructures where routing performance, advanced security, and flexible powering options are priorities. It is commonly deployed as a primary router or firewall in small and medium offices, distributed networks, and ISP environments where connection continuity and traffic control are critical requirements.
The hardware platform features a quad-core ARM processor running up to 896MHz with 1GB of RAM, delivering sufficient processing capacity for advanced routing, bandwidth management, and hardware IPsec encryption for secure VPN connections. Five Gigabit Ethernet ports cover the connectivity needs of a mid-sized office, while port #5 provides passive PoE output for powering adjacent equipment. A microSD slot and 512MB NAND storage offer space for logs, configuration backups, and system extensions.
RB450Gx4 integrates directly into existing infrastructures and accepts 10-57V input via DC jack or 802.3af/at PoE, providing power redundancy through three available inputs. Passive cooling and a base consumption of just 4W without attached equipment make it suitable for installations in spaces without active ventilation. It runs RouterOS License Level 5, which includes full routing, firewall, VPN, QoS, and centralized management via Winbox or API.
Recommended for small and medium offices requiring advanced traffic control, for ISP deployments based on RouterOS, and for distributed networks where hardware VPN encryption is a security requirement. Also suitable as a direct replacement for the previous RB850 and RB450 series, maintaining compatibility with the same enclosures. The device ships with a RouterOS license and free software updates for the lifetime of the product.
