MikroTik RB433AH RouterBOARD for SMB Wireless Deployments

MikroTik RB433AH is a RouterBOARD with three miniPCI slots and three Ethernet ports, designed as the central node for serious wireless networks — sector access points, perimeter routers, and distribution nodes in outdoor ISP infrastructures. Compared to the standard RB433, the AH variant adds the AR7161 processor at 680 MHz and 128 MB RAM — resources that make a real difference in high-traffic scenarios with extended routing tables.

Three miniPCI slots cover classic sector AP configurations with a dedicated backbone link or multi-radio deployments within the same unit, while the Ethernet ports handle WAN uplink and local network connectivity. A maximum power draw of 4.3 W — among the lowest in its class — enables efficient Passive PoE operation (10–28 V) at locations without mains power. The microSD slot extends storage for Webproxy cache, logs, or Metarouter virtual machines — features relevant for nodes with an expanded role in the network.

RB433AH runs RouterOS L5 with full support for advanced routing, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, hotspot, VPN, firewall, and Metarouter for lightweight virtualization. The RS232 serial console port enables out-of-band access at remote locations without active management connectivity, while voltage monitoring provides hardware status visibility in permanent deployments.

Recommended for outdoor sector access points in ISP networks, central nodes combining advanced routing with multiple wireless interfaces, installations in sealed enclosures where ultra-low power consumption and an L5 license justify the choice over simpler platforms, and scenarios where Metarouter or Webproxy cache add operational value. An MTBF of 200,000 hours and tested operating temperature from -40°C to +70°C confirm reliability under permanent operating conditions in demanding environments.
