MikroTik PWR-Line AP Access Point for SOHO Networks via Powerline
MikroTik PWR-LINE AP is a 2.4 GHz WiFi access point with integrated powerline connectivity, designed to extend wireless coverage to rooms where WiFi signal does not reach and LAN cabling is impractical. It plugs directly into a power outlet and synchronizes automatically with other PWR-LINE devices through the existing electrical wiring — without running cables through walls or ceilings.
The dual-chain 802.11b/g/n (Wi-Fi 4) wireless module on 2.4 GHz delivers speeds up to 300 Mbps in the extended coverage area, while the Fast Ethernet port covers connectivity for one additional wired device. The single-core 650 MHz CPU with 64 MB RAM and RouterOS license level 4 enable advanced access point management compared to standard powerline adapters without a dedicated operating system. At 7W consumption and compact form factor, the device sits discreetly in any outlet.
PWR-LINE AP integrates into existing MikroTik networks by connecting directly to a LAN port on the main router, automatically establishing powerline links with other PWR-LINE units on the same electrical installation. Up to eight PWR-LINE devices can coexist in the same network for progressive expansion across multiple rooms or floors. The Type C plug is compatible with outlets in Europe, South America, and Asia.
Recommended for extending WiFi coverage to rooms with thick walls or signal-blocking materials, multi-story homes where WiFi repeaters do not provide uniform coverage, small offices where recabling is costly, and any scenario where a WiFi access point with integrated powerline delivers a more stable solution than a conventional wireless repeater.
