PoE to USB-C Converter MikroTik GPOE-USB

PoE to USB-C Converter MikroTik GPOE-USB

GPOE-USB is MikroTik's industrial PoE-to-USB-C converter designed for system integrators and network administrators who require 5 V DC and USB-C device powering directly from existing PoE infrastructure, with no power outlet required at the installation point. Engineered for deployments where access to conventional power sources is limited or entirely unavailable — wall-mounted tablets, IoT sensors, automation controllers, air quality monitors, and MikroTik devices with USB-C input but without native PoE-in support — GPOE-USB converts standard PoE input into stable 5 V DC output while simultaneously maintaining data connectivity through 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet passthrough. Supported input standard: PoE 802.3af/at, compatible with the majority of managed switches deployed in enterprise and SMB infrastructures.

With up to 15 W / 3.0 A total output, GPOE-USB significantly exceeds the capacity of typical mass-market PoE-to-USB adapters, handling more demanding loads such as Raspberry Pi boards with peripherals, industrial controllers, and higher-draw MikroTik equipment. The device integrates 1 USB-C output port and 1 two-pin DC terminal — both sharing the 3.0 A power budget — extending compatibility to 5 V DC devices that lack a standard USB-C connector. The screw-terminal DC output supports direct wire clamping for custom solutions or permanent installations in technical enclosures and automation panels.

The single-cable architecture eliminates the need for local power outlets and additional adapters: a single Ethernet cable simultaneously carries data at 2.5 Gbps and PoE power to the GPOE-USB, which locally distributes 5 V power and provides data passthrough via its 2 integrated 2.5G Ethernet ports. The primary use case within the MikroTik ecosystem is powering hAP ax lite and hAP be lite devices from existing PoE switches without requiring separate electrical cabling infrastructure. Compact dimensions of 76 × 40 × 24 mm, operating range of -40°C to +70°C, and the included fastening set enable discreet mounting in any location.

Recommended for: powering MikroTik USB-C devices (hAP be lite, hAP ax lite) from PoE switches where local outlets are unavailable, IoT deployments and industrial automation where a single Ethernet cable replaces dual data-and-power cabling infrastructure, Raspberry Pi and embedded controller projects in remote or hard-to-access locations, wall-mounted interactive display and digital signage installations, and any integration scenario where simplifying cable infrastructure and reducing power distribution points are critical operational requirements.
