The MikroTik wAP LR9G kit is a rugged, out-of-the-box
LoRa® gateway built on MikroTik's proven wAP platform. Combining
915 MHz LoRa® support with an onboard GPS module
(MT3337V interface) and 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n dual-chain Wi-Fi,
it delivers a self-contained solution for rapid LoRaWAN network deployment
in demanding outdoor environments.
Enhanced receive sensitivity of up to -141 dBm ensures
extended LoRa® coverage and reliable uplink performance even in
challenging RF conditions. The integrated GPS module enables precise
time synchronization and gateway geolocation — capabilities essential
for mobile deployments and geographically distributed network architectures.
Three power input options — passive PoE, automotive power
(12–57 V), and a DC jack — provide genuine
installation flexibility across diverse site conditions, including
locations without dedicated electrical infrastructure. SMA female
connectors support external antenna configurations, allowing
RF coverage to be tailored to the specific requirements of each deployment.
The preinstalled UDP packet forwarder enables immediate
integration with both public and private LoRa® networks, including
The Things Network and The Things Industries,
significantly reducing time-to-operation. The outdoor-rated wAP enclosure
protects the hardware against environmental exposure, making the
wAP LR9G kit a dependable choice for permanent installations on rooftops,
poles, or vehicles.
Technical note: The device does not include a built-in LTE modem.
The SIM slot is only functional if the LoRa® interface card is removed
and replaced with a compatible miniPCIe LTE modem.
Ideal for:
Outdoor LoRaWAN gateways for smart agriculture and precision irrigation
systems; industrial IoT networks in areas without Ethernet infrastructure;
utility monitoring and wide-area distributed sensor deployments;
rooftop installations on commercial or industrial buildings; rapid
private LoRa® network rollouts across campuses, ports, and logistics
facilities; vehicle-mounted mobile IoT data collection solutions.
