MikroTik QRT 5 ac – Outdoor Wireless Access Point 5 GHz for SMB and Industrial Networks
The MikroTik QRT 5 ac is an outdoor flat panel antenna with an integrated RouterBOARD, built for long-distance point-to-point links on the 5 GHz band at 802.11ac speeds. Deployed as a complete all-in-one solution for wireless backhaul or remote site connectivity, it combines a 24 dBi antenna gain with a high-power dual-chain wireless transmitter in a rugged weatherproof enclosure ready for mast or wall mounting.
The 802.11ac wireless transmitter on the QCA9892 chipset delivers data rates up to 867 Mbps across two chains, with backwards compatibility for 802.11a/n integration in mixed wireless environments. The Gigabit Ethernet port ensures the full benefit of AC speeds is available on the wired side without creating a bottleneck. The 720 MHz CPU and 128 MB RAM support complete RouterOS functionality — routing, firewall, VPN, and remote management — directly within the antenna unit, eliminating the need for additional indoor hardware.
The device is powered via passive PoE at 8-30V; the package includes a Gigabit PoE injector, mast mounting kit, U-bolts, and the dedicated QRT antenna mount — everything required for a complete installation without additional hardware. Passive cooling and a tested operating range of -40°C to +70°C confirm continuous operation in extreme climatic conditions with minimal maintenance requirements.
It is the right choice for outdoor point-to-point AC links where combining a separate antenna and RouterBOARD would add unnecessary complexity, for connecting remote sites to a central network via high-speed wireless backhaul, for ISPs building 5 GHz distribution infrastructure, and for deployments where installation simplicity and compact form factor are as important as performance.
