MikroTik LtAP Access Point – High-Performance WiFi & LTE for SMB & Industrial
The MikroTik LtAP is a ruggedized outdoor wireless access point engineered for mobile and urban deployments where hardware must perform reliably regardless of environment. E-MARK certified for vehicle use, IP54 rated, and tested from -40°C to +70°C, it is widely used as a vehicle-mounted Wi-Fi access point, a mobile LTE router for fleet tracking, and an outdoor connectivity solution for locations without fixed infrastructure. It is purpose-built for scenarios where a standard access point simply would not survive.
The dual-core MT7621A processor running at 880 MHz with 128MB RAM powers the high-output 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n radio, while two miniPCIe expansion slots allow the hardware profile to be tailored to the deployment. Installing an LTE modem and a 5 GHz card simultaneously gives a full dual-band AP with cellular connectivity in the same enclosure. Three Mini-SIM slots enable automatic operator roaming without manual intervention — a practical advantage for fleets operating across regions or crossing borders regularly.
Running RouterOS License 4, the LtAP integrates into any existing MikroTik infrastructure with full access to routing, VPN, firewall, and monitoring features. Multi-constellation GNSS support — GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo — enables accurate real-time vehicle tracking directly from the device without additional hardware. An RS232 serial console supports field debugging, USB type A with power reset handles peripheral devices, and three power inputs — DC jack, passive PoE, and automotive 12–27V — cover virtually any installation scenario.
The LtAP is the right platform for public transit operators delivering passenger Wi-Fi with simultaneous GPS tracking, for logistics and courier fleets requiring mobile connectivity and location data, for food trucks and mobile retail units needing local network access over LTE, for outdoor deployments in areas without fixed infrastructure, and for any mobile application where wireless, cellular, and positioning capabilities must coexist in a single compact, weather-resistant device.
