MikroTik GPERx6 — Industrial Ethernet Extender for Professional Networks

MikroTik GPERx6 is an IP66 outdoor switch with 10G SFP+ ports and combined data and power distribution, designed to simplify remote deployments by transmitting fibre and power simultaneously over a single hybrid cable. It is deployed by ISPs, integrators, and outdoor infrastructure operators across large campuses, industrial parks, perimeter surveillance installations, and remote CCTV towers where reducing cable runs and maintaining reliability over distances of 1–2 km are essential operational requirements. It simultaneously solves two classic outdoor deployment problems: cabling complexity and remote equipment power delivery.

GPERx6 features 3 × 10G SFP+ ports for long-distance fibre uplinks and 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE-in on port 1 and passive PoE-out on ports 2 and 3, for powering IP cameras, access points, and compatible equipment. Three additional DC outputs deliver power to devices that do not support PoE — IoT sensors, specialized industrial hardware, or devices with specific voltage requirements. The dedicated 88E6193X switch chip ensures reliable 10G switching, while flexible power input via DC jack 12–57 V or PoE-in 802.3bt 42–57 V covers a wide range of installation scenarios. Power consumption starts from 6W without load and scales up to 160W at maximum PoE output.

The heavy-duty IP66 enclosure measuring 406×116×76 mm withstands dust, rain, extreme heat, and severe cold, while the operating range from -40°C to +70°C guarantees year-round reliability in any climate. Pole or wall mounting is done with the included K-93 kit, and correct orientation is marked directly on the enclosure. The device runs SwOS, providing intuitive web-based administration, interface monitoring, VLAN support, and simplified management with no recurring licensing costs.

Recommended for ISPs deploying fibre networks with power distribution at remote nodes, perimeter surveillance installations where a single hybrid cable replaces multiple cable runs, and large campuses, ports, or industrial parks where minimizing cable infrastructure is a priority.
