MikroTik CME22-2n-BG77 Mobile Gateway – Industrial LTE Solution

The MikroTik CME Gateway is a compact, rugged CAT-M modem designed to connect Ethernet devices to the narrowband mobile network at the lowest possible operational cost. It is widely used to transmit data from electricity meters, industrial sensors, agricultural equipment, and other legacy devices that lack native mobile connectivity. The solution offers superior coverage compared to standard LTE and operates on the most affordable data plans available — ideal for IoT infrastructures where bandwidth requirements are minimal but connection reliability is essential.

The gateway features a built-in CAT-M narrowband LTE modem with a Nano SIM slot, a QCA9531 processor at 650 MHz, and 64 MB RAM, managed via RouterOS v7 (License Level 4). Two 10/100 Ethernet ports with 802.3af/at PoE-in and passive PoE-out on port 2 enable power delivery and connectivity to adjacent devices without additional cabling. A single-chain 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 radio simplifies configuration via the MikroTik smartphone app, while the built-in GPS supports location data collection through RouterOS scripts for tracking and geographic monitoring scenarios.

The CME Gateway integrates directly between existing Ethernet devices and the CAT-M mobile network, operating as a transparent connectivity bridge without modifications to legacy infrastructure. Managed entirely via RouterOS v7, it supports routing, VPN, firewall, and automated scripts for periodic data transmission. The 2-pin DC terminal and PoE input provide maximum power flexibility in installations where a standard outlet is unavailable.

It is recommended for connecting utility meters and industrial sensors to the mobile network, monitoring agricultural equipment and remote infrastructure, IoT deployments in attics, warehouses, and locations without fiber access, and any scenario requiring periodic transmission of small data volumes at minimum cost. IP66 protection, an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, and CE, FCC, IC certifications confirm reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments — from agricultural installations to exposed technical enclosures.
