MikroTik RouterOS License Level 5 is the intermediate licensing tier for RouterOS, designed for medium to large networks — regional ISPs, enterprise companies, and integrators requiring extended capabilities without the scale of a full datacenter deployment. It delivers the right balance between advanced functionality and licensing cost.

The L5 license significantly expands on L4 limits: up to 200 hotspot users, 200 PPPoE and PPTP tunnels, EoIP and MPLS support, and an extended number of active interfaces. It is the right fit for distribution networks, regional aggregation, and mid-scale VPN deployments where L4 capacity is no longer sufficient.

License activation is handled directly through your MikroTik account. After purchasing via our portal, the license key is transferred to your MikroTik account immediately. RouterOS software is available as a free download from the official MikroTik website and becomes fully operational once the L5 license is applied.

RouterOS L5 is recommended for regional ISPs serving tens to hundreds of subscribers, companies running distributed VPN networks, integrators managing multi-site infrastructures, and network administrators who have outgrown the limitations of an L4 license.
