MikroTik Chateau 5G R16 is a home and office 5G router with a 5G NR and LTE Category 20 modem, dual-band WiFi, and 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, designed to make ultra-fast mobile internet more affordable than ever. The modem supports 5G NSA and SA on TDD bands 78 (3500 MHz), 77 (3700 MHz), and others, complemented by LTE Category 20 with up to 2 Gbps download and 200 Mbps upload. 4×4 MIMO on lower frequency bands — including Band 8, 20, and 28 — ensures superior signal penetration in rural and mountainous areas where high-frequency 5G bands are not available. Dual-band WiFi covers 2.4 GHz with Wi-Fi 4 (300 Mbps) and 5 GHz with Wi-Fi 5 (867 Mbps), while 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports connect PCs, TVs, game consoles, and other household equipment. The M.2 slot and USB type A port expand storage and expansion possibilities.

The quad-core ARM IPQ-4019 processor at up to 896 MHz with 256 MB RAM runs RouterOS v7 (License Level 4) with full Linux container support — PiHole for ad blocking, HomeAssistant for smart home automation, simple web hosting, private DNS, network storage, and any container application imaginable. Complex firewall rules, IPsec hardware encryption, multiple VPNs, and advanced automation complete the enterprise capabilities. Passive cooling and maximum consumption of 20W without load ensure silent operation. The included 24V 1.2A adapter and 1.5m flat UTP cable enable immediate installation.
