MikroTik wAP LR8 Kit – LoRaWAN IoT Gateway for SMB & Industrial Deployments

MikroTik wAP LR8G kit is a compact outdoor LoRa® gateway with built-in GPS, 2.4 GHz WiFi, and an Ethernet port, designed for IoT networks in outdoor environments where long-range communication reliability is essential. The updated 868 MHz LoRa® module with improved Rx sensitivity collects data from sensors and IoT devices at extended ranges — in harsh weather conditions, industrial zones, or smart city infrastructure deployments.

The updated 868 MHz LoRa® module delivers higher reception sensitivity than the previous generation, extending coverage range and improving reliability in environments with obstacles or interference. The built-in GPS enables real-time location tracking of the gateway itself — useful in mobile deployments or distributed monitoring applications. The 2.4 GHz WiFi interface and Fast Ethernet port provide backhaul connectivity to the internet or local network. The IP54-rated enclosure and tested operating range of -40°C to +60°C ensure continuous operation across all weather conditions.

wAP LR8G kit is natively compatible with The Things Network — the global open-source LoRaWAN infrastructure with free network coverage and an extensive ecosystem of IoT applications. Integration can be completed in under a day without building proprietary infrastructure. For enterprise requirements, the platform scales directly to The Things Industries. Three independent powering options — DC jack, passive PoE, and automotive 12–30V input — enable deployment in vehicles, on poles, or in locations without standard power outlets.
