MikroTik FTC11XG Fiber-to-Copper Converter – SMB & Industrial Networking Solution

MikroTik FTC11XG is an IP55 weatherproof Fiber-to-Copper converter for 10 Gigabit connections, designed to transform SFP+ 10G fiber links into RJ45 10G Ethernet ports with advanced management. It is deployed by ISPs, integrators, and network operators deploying 10G fiber-to-copper conversions in outdoor installations and technical environments where a simple unmanaged media converter does not provide the visibility and control required for professional infrastructure. Unlike standard media converters, the FTC11XG features its own switch chip and runs a full version of SwOS Lite — functionality far beyond what a regular converter would offer.

The device features one SFP+ port for 10G fiber connectivity and one multi-rate RJ45 port supporting 10/100/1000/2.5G/5G/10G for local equipment distribution, covering standard 10G conversions in access and distribution networks. The 88E6193 switch chip provides stable processing for management and advanced filtering. Power input is flexible — PoE-in 802.3bt at 43–57V or DC jack 18–57V — with maximum consumption of 10W and passive cooling for silent and efficient operation. The included kit — K-81 fastening set, 48V 0.95A power adapter, and Gigabit PoE injector — enables immediate installation on a ceiling, wall, or in a rack without additional accessories.

SwOS Lite provides complete web browser management without additional software: interface monitoring and management, VLAN support, SNMP reporting, basic traffic shaping, and advanced filtering via ACLs based on Layer 2, 3, and 4 protocol header conditions — including packet filtering, accounting, and VLAN tagging. The IP55 enclosure provides protection against dust and water jets from any direction, and the operating range from -40°C to +70°C guarantees reliability in extreme climatic conditions for permanent outdoor installations. An MTBF of approximately 200,000 hours at 25°C confirms superior durability for continuous 24/7 operation.

Recommended for ISPs and integrators deploying managed 10G fiber-to-copper conversions at outdoor or technical distribution points, installations where Layer 2–4 ACL filtering, VLAN support, and SNMP reporting are required without an additional dedicated switch, and any outdoor 10G network node where a simple unmanaged converter does not provide the necessary visibility and control. Also suited as a replacement for unmanaged 10G media converters in existing infrastructures where traffic monitoring and isolation are operational priorities.
