MikroTik LtAP mini LTE kit is a compact and rugged access point with an integrated Category 4 LTE modem and GPS, designed for vehicle connectivity and real-time tracking at an accessible price. It is deployed in cars, buses, trains, and any mobile vehicle where continuous LTE connectivity, GPS tracking, and wireless access for passengers are required without high equipment costs. The 2024 revision features an improved LTE modem with support for the popular B28 band and a lower price, while maintaining the same compact and durable form factor with IP54 protection.

LtAP mini LTE kit integrates the EC200A-EU Category 4 modem delivering speeds up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload with DL 2×2 MIMO, on LTE FDD bands 1/3/5/7/8/20/28 and TDD 38/40/41, with automatic fallback to 3G Category R7 and 2G for continuous connectivity. Band 28 at 700 MHz ensures extended coverage in rural areas and weak signal zones. The integrated GPS with a uUFL connector for an external antenna enables real-time vehicle tracking — MikroTik provides a sample tracking application in the RouterOS documentation for a quick start. Two SIM slots enable automatic switching between two operators for continuous roaming. Dual-chain 2.4 GHz WiFi 4 802.11b/g/n provides wireless access for passengers, while the RS232 serial port offers console access for debugging.

The IP54 enclosure with wall mounting kit and extra-durable construction ensures reliability under vehicle operating conditions — vibrations, temperature variations, and weather exposure. Power input flexibility is maximum — DC jack 8–30V, PoE-in 802.3af/at, or microUSB 5V, including powering from a portable power bank. Internal uUFL connectors allow replacing the LTE antennas with external antennas for improved coverage in weak signal areas. Maximum consumption of 8W and passive cooling ensure efficient and silent operation. The kit includes an external DC cable, K-55 screw set, 24V 0.38A power adapter, and PoE injector — everything needed for immediate installation without additional accessories. RouterOS v7 (License Level 4) provides full management, VPN, and advanced routing with no recurring costs.
