Dell PowerEdge R210 v2 – 1U Rack Server for Enterprise
The Dell PowerEdge R210 II is a single-socket 1U rack server for distributed enterprise IT environments: branch offices, remote points of presence and single-tier services. It is deployed as an application server, file server or infrastructure node where platform standardization and rack density drive sizing decisions.
The platform is built on an Intel Xeon E3-1200 processor and up to 32 GB of DDR3 ECC memory, sized for infrastructure services, departmental applications and light virtualization. Data protection is covered by hardware or software PERC RAID controllers and TPM/TCM support for platform-level security. A PCIe x16 slot allows connectivity to be extended with dual- or quad-port Gigabit Ethernet adapters, while the 250 W 80+ Silver power supply keeps energy consumption optimized.
The server plugs into existing management workflows through optional iDRAC6, Lifecycle Controller and Unified Server Configurator, enabling out-of-band administration, provisioning and firmware updates without on-site intervention. Dell OpenManage provides centralized control, with connectors to Microsoft, VMware and BMC management solutions. It is compatible with Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE, and supports VMware ESXi, Citrix XenServer and Red Hat Virtualization for virtualized deployments. ReadyRails simplify mounting in standard 4-post racks.
Typical use cases: branch and remote offices in distributed organizations, file, backup, email and collaboration services, single-tier business applications, test and development environments, secondary infrastructure, and expansion of an existing Dell PowerEdge fleet.
