MikroTik wAP R ac – Compact WiFi Access Point for SOHO & SMB

MikroTik wAP R ac is a dual-band outdoor wireless access point with an IP54-rated enclosure, designed for reliable WiFi connectivity in any weather conditions — indoors or outdoors, on walls, ceilings, or poles. Unlike models with an integrated LTE modem, the wAP R ac features an open miniPCI-e slot for installing an LTE modem of your choice, providing complete flexibility in selecting the mobile connectivity module that matches the locally available network.

The quad-core ARM CPU at 716 MHz with 128 MB RAM handles dual-band traffic without performance degradation under load. Simultaneously active dual-band wireless covers 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi 4, 300 Mbps) for standard mobile devices and 5 GHz (Wi-Fi 5, 867 Mbps) for streaming and latency-sensitive connections — both bands operating independently without performance compromise. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports cover wired device connectivity or router use with LTE backup once the module is installed. Dedicated LTE antennas for the miniPCI-e module are built into the enclosure.

wAP R ac mounts on walls, ceilings, or poles using the included accessories and is powered via PoE 802.3af/at — a single Ethernet cable for both data and power in outdoor installations. The miniPCI-e slot accepts MikroTik or compatible LTE modules but does not support additional wireless cards. The SIM slot is only functional with an LTE modem installed. The tested operating range of -30°C to +60°C ensures year-round operation.
