MikroTik SXT LTE6 Kit Access Point – Wireless LTE6 Connectivity for SMB & Industrial

The MikroTik SXT LTE6 kit is an outdoor LTE Cat6 router for mobile internet connectivity in remote locations and areas without access to fixed broadband networks. It is widely used to provide internet access at homes, farms, cabins, and isolated facilities within cellular network coverage — including areas where mobile signal is weak or unreliable. Its compact, weatherproof design combined with a Cat6 LTE modem with carrier aggregation makes it a reliable and cost-effective solution for permanent connectivity without dependence on cable infrastructure.

The router features an LTE Cat6 modem with speeds of up to 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink, 2x2 DL MIMO, and carrier aggregation support for simultaneous use of multiple LTE bands. The hardware platform includes a QCA9531 processor at 650 MHz and 64 MB RAM, managed via RouterOS v7 (License Level 3). Two Micro-SIM slots allow configuration of a backup operator for maximum connection continuity, while supported FDD bands — B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28 — and TDD bands — B38, B40, B41 — cover operators across EMEA and APAC regions.

The SXT LTE6 kit operates as a primary outdoor LTE router with direct cellular backhaul and local distribution via Ethernet ports. PoE-in on Ether1 and passive PoE-out on Ether2 allow powering adjacent devices — such as indoor access points or switches — over a single cable run from the outdoor unit into the building. The MiniPCI-e slot provides flexibility for future modem upgrades, with full management available through RouterOS v7.

It is recommended for providing internet access at rural homes and farms without fiber or cable infrastructure, connecting temporary or seasonal facilities to the mobile network, ISP deployments for LTE internet distribution in areas without fixed infrastructure, and scenarios where carrier aggregation delivers meaningful speed improvements over standard LTE connections. IP54 protection, an operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, and a snow-resistant enclosure confirm reliable year-round performance in outdoor environments.
