DPH-400EDM Expansion Module for D-Link IP Phones

In call centers and offices where call volume exceeds what a standard IP phone can handle, a DSS key expansion module becomes essential for managing lines and phone functions efficiently. The DPH-400EDM is an expansion module compatible with a wide range of D-Link IP phones from the DPH-150 and DPH-400 series, offering 26 physical programmable keys for fast call control. It's commonly deployed in small and medium businesses, as well as call centers, where managing a high number of simultaneous conversations is required.

Each of the 26 keys, fitted with two-color indicators, can be configured for functions such as call pickup, call forwarding, do-not-disturb mode, or direct SIP line selection on press. The module supports advanced features including BLF List Key for monitoring the status of other extensions, speed dial, call history, and phone sharing (Hot Desking), useful in workplaces with frequent staff rotation. Low power consumption — just 2.5W in standby and up to 2.8W during calls — supports continuous operation without a significant impact on energy costs.

Connection runs through the IN port (10/100Base-T with RJ-11 connector) directly to a compatible IP phone, while the OUT port allows chaining an additional expansion module. Power can be supplied directly from the IP phone for up to 2 connected modules, or through an external 5V adapter, offering flexibility depending on the phone network configuration. The system supports up to 5 expansion modules per phone, for a total of 130 available DSS keys to manage an extended set of lines and functions.

It's recommended for reception desks and operator stations handling a high volume of simultaneous calls, for call centers where fast line-status monitoring matters, and for small businesses with extensive SIP telephony setups. Software updates can be performed remotely via HTTP, simplifying administration across infrastructures with multiple stations equipped with expansion modules.
