Huawei eKit AP761 — WiFi 6 Outdoor Access Point for Enterprise and Campus Networks
Huawei AP761 is an outdoor dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point with directional antennas, designed for wireless coverage in high-traffic environments and harsh weather conditions. It is commonly deployed on enterprise campuses, parking areas, stadiums, industrial sites, and building perimeters where outdoor Wi-Fi connectivity must be delivered without separate power cabling infrastructure. The IP68 rating and 67 m/s wind resistance make it suitable for permanent installation in exposed environments.
The AP761 operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with 2x2 MIMO on each radio, supporting Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for high efficiency in high-density user scenarios. The integrated directional antennas provide 10 dBi gain on 2.4 GHz and 11 dBi on 5 GHz with a 65-degree horizontal beamwidth on both bands — suited for covering geometrically defined areas rather than omnidirectional deployment. Transmit power of up to 28 dBm on 2.4 GHz and 27 dBm on 5 GHz ensures coverage at significant outdoor distances.
Power is delivered exclusively via PoE 802.3at/af with a maximum draw of 17.7W, eliminating the need for separate power cabling. Connectivity includes a GE RJ45 port and an SFP optical port in combo configuration — only one is active at a time, with the optical port taking priority when both are enabled. BLE 5.2 support enables IoT and proximity service scenarios alongside Wi-Fi connectivity. The operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C covers extreme climates without additional protective enclosures.
Recommended for outdoor enterprise deployments, university campuses, industrial zones, ports, and logistics infrastructures where robust directional Wi-Fi 6 coverage is required at medium to long range. Wall or pole mounting is supported, and 6 kA surge protection on service ports ensures resilience in environments exposed to electrical discharges.
