Reception desks, front-office staff and contact center agents need a desk phone that handles calls quickly and shows colleague status at a glance. The Escene ES320-PN is an office SIP IP phone with two SIP accounts, 12 programmable BLF keys and PoE power. It works with IP PBX systems such as Asterisk, 3CX and Avaya as well as hosted PBX platforms, for businesses moving to IP telephony.

The two SIP accounts can register on separate servers, with automatic failover to a backup SIP server if registration is lost. The phone supports two simultaneous calls, and the G.722 codec delivers HD voice. A 128 × 64 graphic display with white backlight shows line status and menus clearly. The 12 programmable keys work as BLF, speed dial, prefix, DTMF or SIP URI. Dedicated conference, transfer, hold, mute and voicemail keys cut the steps needed for each call, and the full-duplex speakerphone supports natural two-way hands-free conversations.

Two 10/100 Ethernet ports (LAN/PC) let a computer connect through the phone, in bridge mode or router mode with NAT and a DHCP server. PoE (802.3af) on the LAN port removes the need for a separate power adapter; alternatively, the phone runs on a 5 V adapter, sold separately, or via USB. VLAN and 802.1X support separate voice traffic from data, while the built-in VPN client (L2TP or SSL VPN) connects remote office phones directly to the central PBX. SIPS (TLS) and SRTP encrypt signaling and voice. Configuration is available from the phone menu, the web interface or auto-provisioning over HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/TFTP, with corporate directories synced via LDAP or XML.

At reception and front-office desks, BLF shows in real time which colleagues are busy and allows picking up calls for other extensions. In contact centers, agents connect headsets via USB, 3.5 mm jack or RJ11 and switch between headset and handset with a single key. For branches and remote offices, the built-in VPN registers the phone on the headquarters PBX without an extra VPN router. Businesses on hosted PBX get a terminal compatible with standard SIP platforms and centralized provisioning across dozens of desks.
