MikroTik FTC21-ups is an IP67 weatherproof Fiber-to-Copper converter with integrated batteries and advanced management, designed for the network edge where unstable power is the primary threat to service continuity. The defining feature of the FTC21-ups is two Li-Ion NCA 18650 batteries integrated directly into the device — not for extended autonomy, but to absorb critical moments. At approximately 3W consumption it provides over 6 hours of continuous operation, at 5–7W between 1–2 hours, and at maximum load approximately 45–55 minutes — enough to prevent any connection loss during a short power interruption. The SFP 2.5G port and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports cover standard conversions in access networks, while Passive PoE-out on Ether2 with hardware-selectable 24 or 48 V output powers CCTV cameras and outdoor equipment directly without an additional injector.
The device runs SwOS Lite with full functionality: interface monitoring, VLAN support, SNMP reporting, traffic shaping, and advanced ACL filtering based on Layer 2, 3, and 4 conditions. Two DC inputs — PoE-in 802.3af/at (48–57 V) and DC jack (24–57 V) — allow flexible integration into existing infrastructures. The IP67 enclosure and operating range from -40°C to +70°C ensure reliability in outdoor and industrial installations, while a 3W idle consumption keeps operational costs minimal.
